Shediac

Home of the world's largest lobster!

The world's largest lobster awaits at you the Tourist Information center.

Beware, the lobster can get nasty!

At more pleasant times, she rides a festival float!

The lighthouse at Shediac Cape. Tip: check out the fried clams at chez leo, a couple of minutes north of the cape, past the bridge.

Kris joins the people who regularly converge at the Shediac boat docks to watch the sunset.

Dusk at the boat docks

Tip: A nice place to stay is the Maison Alexandria House ( http://www.sn2000.nb.ca/comp/alexandria/index-en.html ) , a 19th century colonial house. Hosts Bernard and Viola Leger provide good company and a hearty breakfast. The dining room faces a nice garden where you can see hummingbirds at the window as you have the family-recipe French toast.

Parlee Beach, experience the warmest waters north of the Carolinas

Tip: Go to Paturel's Restaurant, just past Parlee Beach for excellent food and a fantastic view. These  photos were taken from their parking lot at dusk.
