Side Trips

While Kristee was working at Ste. Adele, Ramon had a chance to drive around adjacent towns.

This large colonial-style house in St. Saveur is a bed-and-breakfast place.

St. Saveur

We had a chance to stop by this village on the valley of Mont-Saveur, one of the Laurentian's many ski slopes.  St. Saveur is some 5 minutes south of Ste. Adele.  During our visit, it was bustling with tourists in restaurants, shops, and a large factory outlet complex.

Colorful shops and elegantly-decorated restaurants, many of them restored from the Victorian era, line up Rue Principal.

This Victorian house is a live-performances theater.

St. Adolphe d'Howard

This village is surrounded by several mountains and lakes with plenty of resorts, camping, swimming, boating, and skiing facilities.

In the short visit here, we saw a very serene place.

From a lakeside gazebo, Christ's statue seems to greet the town church.

Stress relief. Goof off on these chairs on the park and just watch the lake and the mountains.
