The 8 pm Sunday
Mass at the town church (in Spanish, of course) was very solemn. It was
very dark inside, like a theatre stage. There was just enough light at
the altar for the priest, who spoke with fire and emotion. From
the back of the church sang, a choir broke the silence with a solemn
communion hymn, a capella. It was as if angels were singing in the dark. |
