We liked what we saw in France, so we came back in September-October, 2001. This time, with friends, Larry and Yee, we drove from Nice to Paris but took the long route (see purple curve in the map below).


We saw the French Alps, an underground cave, a cliffside chapel, a range of volcanoes, an aqueduct, ruins of World War II, and vineyards, castles, chateaux, cathedrals, not to mention some Paris policemen on roller blades.
