A bus took us back from Medjugorje to Split
where we spent an hour to visit the walled old town then we boarded the
Marko Polo, the ferry which crosses the Adriatic Sea to Italy.
We slept in the ferry cabins
then woke up to a beautiful sunrise as we approached the Italian port of
Ankona. A two-hour bus ride later, we arrived at Assisi for a brief visit
to the church built in honor of St.Francis.
