Munich

After a seven-hour drive from Cannes to Munich, we arrived at dusk in this German city. We had German beer  and ribs (Asado Steak House) at the old town. Next morning, we walked the city and went up the church tower.

The Neues Ratshaus (the "new" town hall) looks magnificent day or night.

People gather around the Ratshaus near the top of each hour and wait for the Glockenspiel to chime.

When it does, figurines below the clock put on a fantastic 10-minute show as music played. The top row figures portray a jousting match - a la Medieval Times - and the bottom row displays an array of pirouetting dancers.
