Coastal Drives

The drive north of San Diego is full of breath-taking views.  Look for water, then stop and sip your coffee as you smell the breeze. Then wait for sunset.

Belmont Park

Just 10 minutes north of downtown, you can watch the sunset here while riding the beachside roller coaster.

Torrey Pines

This place is famous for its beautiful golf course. But if you like paragliding, hang-gliding, or just plain kite flying, try the nearby launching pad.

La Jolla

The coasts of La Jolla have some interesting caves and rock formations. One spectacular place is Seal Rock, a cove where sea lions rest.

Approaching Seal Rock from the north.

You can get as close as 10 feet away from the seals and they don't mind your presence at all.
