Manitoulin Island

There are two ways to get from Toronto to this island, which is located at the northern tip of Georgian Bay. you can take the ferry at Tobermory. Or you can drive along the east side of the bay towards Sudbury along highway 400 and the scenic highway 69.

At Tobermory, we boarded the M.S. Chi-Cheemaun for a scenic ride to the island that lasted nearly two hours.

Javier and Rosita, Ramon's parents, were thrilled to board a ship that could carry more than 100 other cars and trucks. It's a first for them.

A bird is perched on the ship's flagpole as the ferry left the docks.
