Catalina Island

The first thing we learned about this island, the first stop of our short cruise, is that it's owned by the late Mr. Wrigley, the chewing gum icon. 

Catalina is a shopping, golf, biking, hiking, and beach desitination.
The yacht club building and the "casino" (which means "house"; this is not a gambling place.)

      The trails are filled with really tall trees.

Besides the Ecstasy, other vessels on the harbor were regular boats, canoes, rafts, tug boats, and this cool yellow submarine.
